"Mom can you stop fidgeting with the wings? I think we've managed to properly anchor them to the outfit." Morgan said with an exasperated sigh. Her mother had insisted on helping her make the last few adjustments before she packed her costumes for the convention. Before she left for a week. Her mother was a bit worried - as always it seemed - about her being gone for a week. She was going to another city, and another state. She'd be gone for a whole week, actually a bit longer than that. She'd be gone for nine days. The week of the convention, the day before, and the day after. She released a heavy sigh when her mothers hands fell away from the wings anchored to the sports jacket she was wearing.

"I'm just so worried about you." Her mother chimed. "Are you sure this outfits... ummm... safe? It is rather... revealing."

Morgan rolled her eyes, turning to look at the outfit in the long mirror. Morgan's red hair was hidden away under a wig cap, and a wig that was a spray of rainbow colors. Attached to the wig was a pair of powder blue pony ears, carefully attached to be part of the wig. Making one less accessory that Morgan had to worry about. She had a pair of violet contacts that would turn her amber colored eyes to the color of the characters.

She was wearing a sports bra, which was powder blue and edged in a two inch thick strip of rainbow ribbon on the bottom, over her athletic chest. Her breasts weren't small, but they weren't large either. One male partner, though not a partner that got farther than her breasts, had said that they were the perfect size. They were enough to fill the palm, but small enough to not be a strain on the mouth.  She adjusted the top for a moment, and checked the sports jacket she was wearing. Its colors were powder blue as well, and edged in the same rainbow ribbon. On the back of the sports jacket was the anchored wings. They were small enough to not get in her way when she needed to move through the hallways, but large enough to make pictures interesting.

Her and her mom had worked hard to get powder blue feathers put on a wireframe. The wings actually looked semi-realistic and were rather nice. They were anchored to the jacket, so that it was all one piece. Easy for transport, as the jacket could be used to cover and protect the wings in transport.

Her slim waist lead to flaring hips, and her skin tone was evenly healthy. She was on the paler side, but not on the 'I'm someone who hides in my room for years on end' level... She wore a pair of powder blue fingerless gloves, the wrist edged in the same rainbow ribbon as the rest of the outfit.

She turned a little, looking at her ass in the shorts, frowning softly at the way it hugged her. She knew that she was following con protocol, with the way her outfit was. But still it was a bit more revealing than even she had realized. The costumer must have given her a size smaller than she wanted. The powder blue fabric hugged her curves tightly. The shorts were edges in the ribbon around the waist, and the leg cuffs. The shorts barely came to her mid-thigh, and she was more than a little embarrassed by this. She'd get over this, at least. She was wearing a pair of knee high sports socks, with high top powder blue converse. There was a patch on the left ass cheek of the shorts, that was Rainbow Dashes cutie mark.

"Nah mom, I'll be fine. Go out to dinner with dad, I'll see you when I get back." She said as she shooed her mother away. She had to get going, she had to get to her hotel and check in, and get everything handled.

Four hours later, Morgan was checking into her hotel room. It was 'Day 0' as congoers called it. She was going to go to her room and change into her Rainbow Dash costume, then she was heading straight for the Pre-Reg Badge pick up. It didn't take her too long to get all that done, and rush off to get her badge. She was going to enjoy herself, as completely as possible. She had a hum in her throat, and a bounce in her step, pink contacts now in place over her blue/green eyes - and all her pertinent essentials in a small messenger bag at her side. Day 0 wasn't usually busy, so it gave her a chance to explore the area she knew so well. She wanted to check out to see if there was anything new.

She went for the park first, to give it a look. She also went to the park first so she could have a cigarette. Conventions, and when she wasn't around her parents, was one of the few times she actually smoked. She found a bench, took a seat and calmly lit up a cigarette. She watched the people wandering through the park, and found amusement in herself. She was more than amused at watching the people wandering through the park. She was a sharp and observant young woman, not even twenty-five yet, so catching things out of the ordinary wasn't that hard.

She had no idea what life had in store for her, or how interesting this convention was going to be.

With a sudden blink, Sesshōmaru seemed to have been thrown into another reality.

The smell wafted to his nostrils, reeking of foulness and decrepitude. With a wince, he closed his nose and walked to the only opening of the alley he was transported to - the brick walls seemed to close on him, almost oppressive with their off-putting colours and crusted grime. The male scowled at the overall state of disarray that seemed to surround him as he proceeded; he grabbed hold of his hakama, clutching the fabric and tugging it upwards so none of it would ever get close to the sullied ground. "What kind of place is this, to have reached such extent of filth? What kind of pig lives amidst this garbage?", he thought to himself, bewildered at the prospect that any creature would accept to endure this kind of fate.

As he walked down the path, Sesshōmaru attempted to remember the turn of events that led him to this new world - to no avail, as the details were mostly fuzzy and inconclusive. He was assured that Naraku was somehow involved with the prospect; after all, his opponent seemed to be intent to attempt bringing harm to Sesshōmaru, and for that reason the theory of Naraku's involvement rang as true at this first moment. Still, no other details were recalled during the brief walk out of the alley and into an open area.

Upon arriving, Sesshōmaru was greeted by the presence of a high influx of humans.

"Excellent. Now I understand the degree of decrepitude of this place", the yōkai mused with complete disdain, abhorring from the first moment his arrival in the human world. A large crowd seemed to gather within the limits of the park, for reasons unknown, most of them dressed in outlandish garments that were rife with colours. The raucous people shouted and held small coloured boxes which emitted light - that they were intent on pointing to themselves and other humans at all times, as if this was a celebratory date.

All that Sesshōmaru could do was to shake his head in abject contemplation. He was stuck in a foreign, inferior world, and had to seek for a way out before losing his sanity. He waded across the multitude of animals, attempting to seek for anything that resembled an opening back to his own universe before it was too late.

Morgan turned her head, the multi-color brightness of her costumes bangs fell across her eyes. The pink contacts were probably startling to most normal people, but this was a convention so it was easier to get away with craziness. Her garments would be shocking to most conservatives, but the young woman really didn't give a fuck about what conservatives thought. With a chuckle she started to watch the park, sitting on the edge of a wall, she just rested there and stuck out her legs every so often to stretch them.

That's when she noticed him, which was a Sesshoumaru cosplayer, and damn was it a good one. Most people didn't go all out on Day Zero! But hell, this man was good - or was it a woman? Well likely it was a wo-... Nope just by how he walked and the shape of his form through the kimono, that was a male. That was a male cosplaying as Sesshoumaru.

He also didn't have a badge, from what she could see, so that meant he likely wasn't Pre-regged, or didn't know where to go to get it. She pushed off the wall and made an approach, feeling a bit playful as she swept a bow to the male. "A pleasure to meet you, welcome to the event. I noticed you don't have a form of event Identification, do you need me to help escort you to where registration is? I have several friends that work there - and I can help you work things out. By the way, your garments are very well done!" She said this cheerfully.

When her eyes opened again, pink eyes locked on golden - holy shit those weren't contacts. Her eyes swept over his face, as her eyes took in the markings on his face. The quality of the fabric was very authentic... Shit... Shit... Had her mom's stories of magical beings, portals to other worlds, had all of that been more true than the young woman cared to believe? She did believe in many things, but this was a bit far. "Lord Sesshoumaru?" She asked, her voice holding a thread of questioning.

Micro-expressions, watch them. They gave cosplayers away. If he responded without any strangeness that meant - that meant shit... he was real.

The crowd seemed to span across the whole area, its numbers never relenting in any direction. Despite looking around and trying to find a way out from the predicament that he had suddenly found himself into, Sesshōmaru found no signs of a way back to his own universe. He was alone, a foreigner in a foreign land - despite the clothing of some individuals that seemed to slightly resemble the ones from his own world, if not for their lack of detail and slipshod construction.

It was then when he noticed a person walking towards him - a female, it seemed, covered by a diminutive set of clothes and a set of wings that spanned from her back. Due to the lack of motion of the wings, however, it was noticeable that they were not functional; it seemed like they were just for show, rather for any kind of legitimate function. What kind of individual would go through the hassle of doing such an act? Sesshōmaru had a split second to figure that out, as the woman was getting closer and closer.

The words spoken by her were equally cryptic - she spoke of registrations and event identifications, which simply elicited the raising of an eyebrow as he could not follow the content of the conversation. Still, for whatever it was worth, it seemed like the human knew her place and bowed before him as protocol would dictate. Sesshōmaru was ready to intervene and give his orders; however, before he did so, a look of surprise seemed to wash over the female's face. She seemed to be taken aback, as if she had suddenly realised the nature of the one standing right in front of her. With an inquisitive voice, she called for his name.

"Of course she knows my name. It makes sense for humans to know about their superiors", the yōkai thought to himself as he grinned towards the speaker. "I assume that you have already heard about me - that is only natural", Sesshōmaru spoke with a tinge of arrogance in his voice that was typical for the ones that dwell in higher social levels. "Where are we currently, and would you perchance know a way out of here?", the yōkai inquired, unwilling to spend another minute in the middle of the cesspool of humans.

Morgan watched his facial movements and knew that if he was the real Sesshoumaru, he might consider her staring as a sign of challenge. So she made sure it was obvious her eyes were taking in his features, which he would likely consider something common to happen. He was an attractive yokai, that was definitely for certain. But the way his face moved when he spoke, and that simple arrogance... so like her family... made her solidify her thoughts. Well shit, this is fucked. Not sure how it happened, but there is literally an anime character in the park, in the middle of an Anime convention. I need to help him before someone tries to rape him, or something worse. She said to herself mentally.

Her features took on a contemplative look at his words, as if she was in deep thought. "Currently you are rather far from home. Much further than you can even comprehend. People here will know you, a lot of people will know you, but not for the reasons you think." She said this, and she knew it was cryptic, but she also knew of his arrogance and that he'd need appropriate information before him in order to understand what is going on. "And yes I know a way out. I'll take you back to the Hot-... The Inn that I'm staying in. I'll bring you up to my quarters there, while I arrange to get a different room from the Inn owner, so that you can have your own bed." She said this as she turned to start walking from the park, but stopped.

She turned back to him and gave another polite bow, but the cant of her bow made it obvious that she knew she was of a different 'rank' than most of the humans around. Still lower than him, but not so low as most humans he usually ran across. "My apologies, how rude of me. My name is Scotts Morgan, and I will do my best to be a good guide and host for you." She said this as she straightened and started to walk back towards the hotel.

The fact that she had her own room at the 'Inn' would probably be a surprise for him, as most Inns in his time were communal unless you had the money to pay otherwise. She wondered how much a lot of the modern day facilities would surprise him. "I need to ask, how much about Higurashi have you heard? Your brother's mate, I would assume. Where she came from?" She asked as she started to walk, carefully avoiding the pathways that would lead him to too many people - or too much of the Modern conveniences that they now had. "I ask because you are essentially in a location very similar to where she came from, just... rather far away from your home."
